Texarkana Animal League (TAL) is a group of volunteers that is dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in our shelter & the community.
The Texarkana Animal League exists to provide protection and care for abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted companion animals. We also want to promote animal welfare through programs and services that mutually benefit animals and people.
All proceeds will benefit animal care and adoptions, and will assist with our community outreach programs such as a low-income spay/neuter assistance program, as well as educational and service projects to assist TAL’s belief that all animals are deserving of life, respect and care.
In 2012, we sponsored over 100 animals in the community with our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP). In addition, over 200 animals found homes through our foster care program and all of those pets were fully vetted and spayed/neutered. TAL also donated the vaccines for 2500 animals to the local city-run shelter, as well as assisting several local rescues with vet care expenses.
